When Diani Backpackers told us they were putting in takataka bins, we thought that it was going to be like the big ones in Ukunda, but then when they arrived and looked really beautiful, we were happy. Diani Backpackers taught us how to use them properly and which items go where, now we use them all the time, more and more people in our community start to use them everyday, and now it is becoming cleaner. The tourists do not have to see a lot of plastic anymore on the side of the road, and we can use these takataka bins for free. We are very happy and grateful for this project.
