PROTECTING NATURE, HELPING PEOPLE

As a registered CBO, Kwale Recycling Centre is a social enterprise comprising a team of 16 young women and men who manage community engagement, outreach education, 22 public service Green Stations offering segregated waste disposal bins, and conduct plastics and other solid waste sorting and processing for onward recycling at our Material Recovery Facility (MRF).

KRC works closely with key stakeholders including local authorities such as the Kwale County Government and the Diani Municipality to supplement the existing  waste management infrastructure & policies. Ultimately, we aim to create an enabling environment for the circular economy across coastal Kenya.
